FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GHS Strings Welcomes Yoke Lore as its Newest Artist
Battle Creek, MI — GHS Strings is thrilled to announce indie-folk icon Yoke Lore, also known as Adrian Galvin, as the latest artist to join the GHS family. Yoke Lore, celebrated for his distinct blend of folk-pop and electronic elements, has captivated audiences worldwide with his reflective lyrics, innovative banjo playing, and immersive live performances.
This exciting partnership comes as Yoke Lore’s career reaches new milestones. His beloved song “Beige,” a heartfelt meditation on love and longing, was recently certified platinum by the RIAA. "This song is about love, unfulfilled,” Galvin reflects. “But throughout its 6 or 7-year lifespan, it has become so important to so many people...Beige has re-written its own story; it has fulfilled itself by incorporating itself into the drama of reality. It is a privilege to have added some beauty to the universe.”
Fans can experience Yoke Lore live on his current US tour, The Autumn Amble: An Introspective Spectacular, which kicked off October 25. Partnering with Propeller, Yoke Lore offers fans exclusive opportunities to earn tickets and meet-and-greet passes by supporting meaningful causes such as Reproductive Freedom For All, HeadCount, and Everytown for Gun Safety. Highlights on the tour include stops at renowned venues like Denver's Ogden Theatre, Minneapolis's First Avenue, Detroit's Saint Andrew’s Hall, and The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. With a background steeped in music, art, and dance, Yoke Lore’s journey has been one of constant creative evolution. Growing up in a highly creative and spiritual environment in Katonah, NY, Galvin co-founded the dance company Boomerang and performed in several bands, including as a founding member of Walk The Moon, where he co-wrote the breakout hit “Anna Sun.” Since 2016, Galvin has been performing solo as Yoke Lore, bringing a refreshing depth and authenticity to his work, now underscored by the distinctive tones of GHS Strings.
“We’re beyond excited to welcome Yoke Lore to the GHS family,” said Russ McFee, CEO at GHS Strings. “His dedication to exploring raw, emotional territory through his music and his innovative approach to the banjo resonate deeply with our values at GHS. We’re honored to support his journey and contribute to the soundscapes that move audiences worldwide.”
Yoke Lore joins a diverse roster of GHS artists, each pushing the boundaries of music in unique ways. As Yoke Lore embarks on this new chapter, GHS is proud to be a part of the sonic legacy he continues to build.
