These are a great alternative to flat wounds.  Vintage jazz guitar sound at half the price and at least 5 times the longevity of flat wounds. The Brite Flats wound strings actually sound like new flat wounds after a couple of weeks of playing and can retain that tone for up to a year.  I replace only the plain steel E and B strings at least twice before replacing the entire set.  I sure hope GHS keeps making them.

    I'm very disappointed in my latest purchase of Brite Flats.  They are NOT brite, and more realistically sound dead.  I won't be recommending these to anyone.
