Larry Ladale was born in Arlington, TX to ministers L.L. and Rene.
Growing up in church you would find him singing, winning contests or reciting whole chapters of the Bible for the masses. He explains; “I recited the whole first chapter of Genesis. People were shocked! My sister, who helped me practice, says I couldn’t even read yet. I still can’t believe I did that.”
His knack for remembering song lyrics came naturally when his love for music arose. “My grandmother was 1 of 9 children. Every year on family reunion weekend, her and the siblings would convene and sing together. Harmonizing. No practice. I said ‘I don’t know what’s happening right now, but I want to do THAT!”
Larry pulls his influences from so many different angles of his being. The joy and flash of 80’s rock. The grit of blues and 90’s & 2000’s hard rock. The carol and solace of gospel with the bounce of pop and funk. “Church was live and heavy EVERY Sunday. That was my basis. So the music has to have spice. If it doesn’t hit you, I’m not with it.”
In September 2014, after a visit to the ER for chest pains, the singer collapsed in his hospital room and had to be revived back to life. He was diagnosed with a heart condition and life would never be the same. “I feel blessed by God to be here. There must be something more I’m meant to do. I appreciate life so much more. I can’t go back to the old me.”
His NEW single “Let’s Talk” is out now on all platforms. “My message is simple. God is real and miracles happen. There is hope in darkness and when the sun finally shines, bathe in the light.”
