Making his national television debut in 1996 on TNN’s Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup, he has since performed on radio and televised programs across the country. JD has recorded and released three CD's of original material: Sum of Soul, Falling Forward, and Time To Move On.
He has toured the US as a sponsored touring act for music retailer Guitar Center and has also shared the stage with such greats as Country Music Stars: Phil Vassar and Gloriana, Charlie Daniels, Dan Seals, Joe Nichols. Not to mention rock and pop music icons such as: John Waite (Baby's), Lou Gramm (Foreigner), Mickey Thomas & Starship, The Calling, Teena Marie, Jimmy Van Zant, Paulo Matioli and many more as well as performing privately for well known celebrities such as Ted Turner (Turner Broadcasting), Todd Glass (Comedian) and Cruz Bustimonte (Former California Vice Governor) to name a few.
As a USAF veteran himself, entertaining the Wounded Warriors returning home from Iraq & Afghanistan has been a personally rewarding highlight as JD continues to support the military service community by doing benefit concerts such as the Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall Benefit Concert, and Concert for Heros and SDYC Veterans Appreciation Events for returning combat veterans.
JD PRIEST is currently writing and recording new music, while touring to promote his material.
